Amanda Restell

Examiner & Fellow IDTA, AAC1 Principal Teacher (Modern Jazz, Tap, Theatre Craft, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Acro)

Amanda started dancing at the age of 2 1/2 yrs and after following an international dancing and modelling career, she returned to the UK to follow her teaching aspirations. Amanda is an Examiner with the IDTA and is involved in supplying students for training days and DVD's. She has successfully trained All England finalists and had students nominated for the International Theatre Dance Awards. Such is the high standard of the work at the Academy that Amanda has been asked to provide dancers for external events. Many students have successfully auditioned for full time dance college and appeared in West End Musicals, national TV series and films. Amanda has had troupes dancing at Twickenham, Silverstone and Wembley (alongside Pixie Lott). In summer 2015 her students took part in a tour of LA, performing at Disneyland California on their prestige stage. Amanda trains teachers as well as pupils and as an examiner with IDTA, now enjoys travelling around the country meeting members and pupils.
